At this year's Railtex exhibition Factair displayed one of its latest reduced noise modular fan arrays; these ventilation systems can be deployed off track at the tunnel portal, allowing both roads to be unobstructed during the possession. Also on display was the latest environmental monitoring equipment. These include noise-measuring systems, which, in conjunction with a range of air quality monitoring instruments, enable Factair’s engineers to provide a comprehensive report on the environmental conditions within the tunnel during the possession.
